Seinor project

First off i am not to sure about what kind of media component i want to use, however i am really into issues on the subject of environment and food. I want to look at it from a more urban standpoint. How our urban environment functions, whether or not it is similar to that of a more natural one. I think i could really get into it, if i am examining a space that i am most familiar with. I know this could get muttled with population, pollution, and energy however i want to stay more primal looking at the city like its own biosphere. Any ideas as to how i should do it?

  1. I like your idea of how you want to focus more on the city rather then your typical outside nature forest type of scene. I think when the topic of environmental science comes up people automatically think outdoorsy type of scenarios but I like how your going outside of the box for your topic on your senior project. It would be interesting to know the different statistics about the population within the areas and how maybe food and water affect the population.

  2. Solid idea. It is obvious that the urban environment that you grew up in plays an important role in your life, and it is great that you want to tie that in to your project. Focusing on pollution seems like it might end up being another cliche PSA, but if you can find a way to make it unique, it could have a real impact. I am sort of in the same boat as you in the sense that I know what topics interest me, but I'm not sure how to tie it into a comprehensive project. Because of that, my support for you is pretty limited. If I had a good idea, I'd use it for myself. Sorry, dawg. Shoot for the stars.
